Blobs are drawn one at a time, so a brand new one takes a moment. You do not have to wait here — it turns up in your list below on its own.

Five slots, and each one is a character in the game — in the order you draw them. The game changes character the further you get, so the first blob is the one you start as and the fifth is one you will only meet on 5th level.
